The biggest obstacles live events have faced in the past 5 years is attendance and ticket sales. After a global pandemic where millions stopped participating in large scale events, The Great New York State Fair had a lot of work to do to well…feel great again.

Starting back up in Summer 2021, The State of New York Department of Agriculture needed an agency who had experience speaking directly to audiences and consumers, to rebrand the nation's first state fair, instill trust & brand safety, and illicit excitement and desire to come back to Syracuse.

This was, and has been, our mission.

HOW DO YOU FAIR?

Since 2021, as the agency of record, Studio City PXL has assumed responsibility for orchestrating comprehensive 360-degree marketing initiatives, over a full 12-month period.

We started with taking full film, digital, social, and photography crews on sight at The Fairgrounds. Because The Fair only happens once a year, we only have one bite of the ‘candy apple.’  We needed to capture material that not only feeds into our main campaign objectives during The Fair’s operating days, but also content that we can use to produce creative the other 11 months the fair is not running.

We maximized four shoot days to cover one year's worth of content, and have been able to replicate this plan over the last three years, and counting. Ensuring that we can secure enough content for on-air, digital, social, print, and more.

HOW MUCH CONTENT CAN YOU DEEP FRY? A LOT!

ROLLING OUT AS MUCH AS CONTENT AS DEEP FRIED OREOSLive events need, and merit, many pieces of creative…and that’s exactly what we produce.

Content pieces for broadcast? Airing. 

Digital & social media campaigns? Posted. 

Original jingles and songs? Available for streaming. 

An AR social filter that turns your face into a butter sculpture? You could literally melt on top of a stack of pancakes.  

Our expertise also extends to designing souvenir merchandise, developing interactive touch screen maps, making banner ads, creating mobile games, and managing annual digital & social calendar. Our 360-degree marketing campaigns really are as vast as a Ferris Wheel.

DISTRIBUTION

Our continued efforts have proved successful, garnering a significant and noticeable Fair attendance rate each year, and sizable growth on all social channels. Moreover, we saw the highest opening concert attendance in the entire history of The Fair after we started our campaigns. We also are averaging 50+ pieces of content produced and delivered before each event, ensuring that all verticals are covered and every consumer is reached.

The Great New York State is back and Greater than ever, and at Studio City PXL we’re proud to help it continue to fly into new levels of Greatness.
