A New Brand Ambassador & Two New Spokesmen – Who Happen to Be Golf Balls

X-Golf needed a creative marketing agency to create a new brand & product campaign that could be rolled out nationwide and incorporate their then brand ambassador Max Homa. The investment in creating the content would need to last the duration of the year (if not longer.)

ONE SHOOT WITH INFINITE POSSIBILITIES

Keeping a “modular & scrappy production” approach in mind for video + photo, we came up with the concept of two comedic golf balls that love working at X-Golf. Capturing and recreating these characters in CGI would allow creative flexibility throughout the year without needing to produce another shoot:  we could simply use editorial and graphics to craft multiple, fresh creative pieces. In the process, we also captured a complete range of beauty shots highlighting X-Golf’s core offerings and location features in order to create ongoing content and provide franchisees with their own personalized elements. 

This allowed them to localize content while protecting corporate brand quality. The final element was incorporating Professional golfer Max Homa, who became both an ambassador and comic partner to these new golf spokemen. We spent time getting a range of interactions with the talking balls and direct-to-camera lines that could be used across broadcast, digital and social media channels throughout the year. 

TEEING UP A VERSATILE LAUNCH CAMPAIGN

For the launch, we delivered 3 main spots across broadcast, digital w/ social cutdowns of those spots in various dimensions, as well as 60 retouched still images and over 30 social media content pieces. We are also ready with 8+ additional produced spots created for key moments in 2024 and adaptable on initial launch results, feedback and sentiment. This new round of edits will have our hero golf balls hitting on other topics like the upcoming tournaments, Father’s Day, new store openings, dad jokes, golfer memes, sponsorships with MLB teams and more.

DISTRIBUTION

The first wave of campaigns will be strategically placed across all broadcast streaming platforms within a 10 miles radius of all 102 locations around the US to drive top of funnel brand awareness and mid to bottom of funnel net new customers and foot traffic. Additional top of funnel media distribution strategy includes National Networks and events including NBC, CBS, PGA, US Open, Masters and British Open.
